Indonesia is a country with exotic scenery, you name it Maumere-Flores, visiting various places like the island of Flores, one of the places I have ever visited is Danau Tiga Warna which sits atop the mountain that has a height Kelimutu 1639 meters above sea level. Danau Tiga Warna (Three color lake) which is one object of tourism island of Flores - East Nusa Tenggara Province is well known to foreign countries is administratively located in the region Ende.To reach this location from outside the province does not need to go to the provincial capital of Kupang in NTT and the new town of Ende Flores headed to the mountain, but it is easier when using a flight from Denpasar-Bali-Flores went straight to Maumere.Flights to Maumere is a regular flight routes with route Denpasar - Maumere - Kupang, where the route Denpasar towards Maumere be completed in about 1 hour 30 minutes, while Maumere to Kupang to within about 1 hour.
From Maumere journey continues by road which connects the capital of Sikka district Maumere town with the City of Ende which is 149 km, the next stop Moni village within 83 miles of Maumere. There are public buses that serve the route with Ende Maumere commute by bus mini bus type (Colt diesel). Moni village is the village closest to the mountain area of Flores, this village there is a government-owned homestay Ende and there are also many homestays run by local people. The distance from the village of Moni to the lake area there are three colors that Flores is still dipuncak mountains about 13 miles, then through a path of approximately 1 km to reach the lip of the Danau Tiga Warna Flores mountain region.
When using a flight direct flight from Denpasar to Kupang, then flying back to Kupang from Maumere and continued with the journey overland through the route as above.It could also be from Kupang to Ende with pioneering flight takes about 1 hour or by ferry from Kupang to Ende which requires about 12 hours travel time, set out from Kupang in the afternoon and arrived in Ende the next morning, followed by a trip overland from Ende nenuju Moni with the distance 66 km.
Maumere also accessible from the city of Makassar in South Sulawesi with PELNI ships that are within approximately 24 hours. There used to be a flight from Makassar - Maumere - Kupang, but had stopped and I do not know whether the airline is now operating again. Furthermore, from Maumere to Flores made the journey overland.
Flores is also reachable by boat from the island of Papua, Papua PELNI with the route - Kupang, then from Kupang can proceed with the route as described above.

In general, people stay at Moni before climbing to the top of Mount Flores because they will rise at dawn at around 3:00 in the morning to see sunrise and before 10:00 should back down because at that time the fog had begun to fall.At that time, I saw the color of lake water is light blue, red and white milk, but the color is changed several times.
Besides visiting Flores, Ende can be seen in the historical residences of Bung Karno, first President of the Republic of Indonesia at the time exiled by the Dutch colonial government, whose condition is still well maintained.
