Komodo Death Dead in Surabaya Botanical Garden

A collection of female Komodo Zoo Surabaya, East Java, died without apparent cause is unknown.

"The death of dragons on Sunday (23/10) around 23:00 pm so suddenly. We did not know there were signs the animals sick," said Public Relations Surabaya Zoo Anthan Warsito when contacted via cell phone from Jakarta, Monday (24/10 ).

It is still autopsy on an eight-year-old komodo who killed it. Allegations while the dragons are dead because of bladder infections or eggs. However, these allegations still need deeper examination. "We will do as soon as possible," he said.

According Anthan, Surabaya Zoo was not previously aware that the komodo are sick, or there are signs of disease. Therefore, the condition and doings of his behavior during the Komodo dragon is perfectly normal. "Animals are not manifest the disease," he said.

Surabaya Zoo Veterinarians Arie Lissia Yassi said the exact cause of death komodi still have to wait for the results of laboratory tests. The wreck of the reptiles are now sent to the laboratory. "After sampling is completed, the Komodo dragon carcass immediately cremated," he explained. (Ant / riz)
